APPEAL
On behalf of Department of Posts, I
hereby appeal to you to call off the proposed one day General Strike on 2nd
September, 2016 as no useful purpose is served by such agitations.
From the perusal of the “Charter of Demands”
most of the demands are general in nature which relate to all Central/Public
Sector Government employees and only some relates to Postal and GDS issues. The
issues relating to Postal Department are being examined. It will therefore, be
in the overall interest of the Postal Department to dissuade from adopting an
agitational approach. The proposed
strike may therefore be called off.
