We, Shri T.N. Rahate, General Secretary, NUPE Postmen & MTS,
Group C and alongwith Shri Rajesh NUR-III, Delhi visited Postal Directorate and
met with Shri A.N. Nanda, Chairman Postal Board, Shri Mira Handa, D.G., Member
Banking, Member Planning, DDG (P), DDG (SR & Legal), Senior DDG (Finance), Shri Padhye and
discussed following items:-
1)
Recruitment of Postman, MTS
in Maharashtra Circle,= in light of
judgment given by High Court of Maharashtra, Aurangabad Bench. It has been
assured that decision will be taken shortly as per directions of Hon’ble Court
and innocent Candidates will be taken on duty.
2)
In W/B Circle= Non-grant of
20% HRA to the Postal staff working at Andal MDG andkajoragram SO under Asansol
division Case - it was assured that
within 8 km. radius area of municipal council, decision will be taken shortly.
3)
For change of recruitment
rules of Postman, MTS - long discussion was held and we demanded that 100%
recruitment for Postman, MTS should be from GDS only. After 10 years continue
service GDS automatically should be promoted as Postman. They assured to consider our demand and shortly decision will be
taken,
4)
We demanded action against
corrupt officials, they assured to look
into it.
5)
To provide armed security
to Post Office ATM, Member Banking told they
asked us to provide a detailed proposal which will be considered,
6)
DDG (P) accepted our demand to hold re-examination of Postman, MTS Candidates
of which examination was held and canceled previously - case of J & K Circle.
7)
For transfer policy, for
Postman MTS Staff, Para may be deleted our
demand was agreed they assured to examine the issue.
8)
Member planning told that to fulfill
the demand of payment of Rs. 10,000/- for purchase of Uniform Cloth, Requisition will be made with finance.
9)
The design of uniform is final now and the approval from Minister is
awaited.
Civil wing Item
DG (P) and member (Planing) assured
to look into the matter of transfer policy of civil wing staff
However we met
other officers of directorate also in connection with small items of Postman, MTS.
