It is declared by the Directorate that new look is to be given to TRCA slab
corresponding to 87.5 points, 112.5 points and 125 points. In this connection, the relook stipulates 1 point for Rs. 20,000/- cash handling in a month. The amount of Rs. 20,000/- fixed for one point in a month is not only arbitrary but it is also impractical. The TRCA slab will change according to the points earned in any month. In the said Order it is also stated that the remittances received from Accounts Office and sent to Accounts Office are to be excluded from the total handling of the cash due to this arbitrary condition.
There will be negative effect in computing the earning of monthly points. This will result in effect on the slab of TRCA. The most affected category will be BPM of the rural area.
In my letter No. FNPO/GDS Pay Commission/2/09 dated 23-11-2009 in Para 6 the matter was already brought to the notice of the Directorate, but it has been overlooked in the circumstances. It is felt that the poor GDS employees are subjected to arbitrary pressure onesidedly. It is therefore, called upon the GDS employees to unite to take back the order for reconsideration. The Federation on its parts will take necessary steps in the matter.
