Mind without Fear
Tagore
“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up
into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action---
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”

These are not mere words. These are the feelings from the bottom
of the heart of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore. This day when we are
bidding farewell to the welcoming the New Year 2013, let these feelings pervade
our minds, let these words be on our lips. Let us strive for that tomorrow
where our Nirbhayas breath, laugh and live freely. Let us join the Nation to
pray for that Nirbhaya! That
Nirbhaya, who shook the conscience of this Land.
Nirbhaya! Nirbhaya!! Nirbhaya!!!
