Department of Post Starts International Tracked Packet Service (ITPC) at Aurangabad Maharashtra


ITPC is specially designed to cater to the needs of E-Commerce for cross border transactions. However, now individuals are also most welcome to use this service. It will prove to be most beneficial for city industries for sending packets to foreign countries. Soon, city to have fully automated Parcel Hub.

Speaking at the inauguration of the National Post Week in Cantonment, The Hon.Postmaster General Pranav Kumar sir, said parcels can be sent to countries like Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia , New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. A packet weighing up to two kilogram with the restricted dimensions can be sent and received. It can be tracked from start to end and will be delivered within four to five days. The Hon.Postmaster General announced that the city would soon have its own Parcel Hub. He said nearly 1000 parcels arrive in Aurangabad daily. The ratio of incoming parcels in Aurangabad is higher than outgoing ones. The city has been selected for the parcel hub on a pilot basis. “The government has already sanctioned Rs 20 lakh for the hub to come up in Cidco N-7. It will be fully automated. Apart from Aurangabad, parcel hubs will also be set u in Nashik and Bhusawal, he said.

National Post Week will have World Post Day, Banking Day, Postal Life Insurance Day, Management Development Day and Mail Day. Aurangabad Region has 78.75 lakh saving bank accounts, Rs-45.91 Crore deposits in Kisan Vikas Patra and Rs-50.04 under National Saving Scheme. There will be 20 Adhar Updation Centres in Region. New Passport Seva kendras will be opened in Jalgaon and Beed. 16381 passport applications have been processed till now.
