FNPO delegation, consisting B. Shivakumar, Secretary General, FNPO, Sivaji Vasireddy, General Secretary, NAPE, Group "C", Nisar Muzawar, General Secretary, NUPE Postman & MTS, N.K Tyagi, President FNPO & General Secretary, NUR- III, Prerit Kumar, Organizing Secretary, NAPE, Group "C" CHQ met Member (P) Dr. Vinay Prakash Singh on 24-02-22 and discussed staff related matters and felicitated on his promotion to Member, Postal Service Board. On 25-02-22 same delegation met honorable Chairman Postal service Board and Secretary, Department of Posts and discussed following issues: -
1. Non holding of periodicals meetings in many of the circles like Bihar, W.B, U.P, Rajasthan and in other circles at all levels and also demanded to monitor the issue at directorate level.
2. Regarding GDS substitute arrangements the workload should not increase above five hours as per the GDS conduct rules and wherever it happens instead of combination of duties the substitutes should be allowed. The old orders in this regards may please be retained.
3. Waitage for senior GDS based on service 12/24/36 years notation increments file pleased be cleared early.
3. Rule 38 transfer facilities on monthly basis may also be extended to Postman/MTS cadre.
4. Frequent failures of finacle and McCamish problems should be resolved immediately.
5. Cadre restructuring should be implemented in RMS.
6. One time relaxation for promotion to HSG-II/HSG-I cadre may please be taken up with DOPT.
7. Requested to allot adequate medical/T.A fund to the circles.
The Secretary & Member (P) responded to all the above issues positively and expecting suitable orders soon. Inspite of his hectic schedules in connection with parliamentary standing committee meeting and other important engagements, the Secretary posts has given sufficient time to the delegation with positive responses to the demands, for which we are thankful to the honorable Secretary Posts.
