Please do not panic. Keep the moral high. I was knowing that postal directorate is not taking in to consideration the modified recommendations made by shri Gopinath committee. Secondly I have already written to the minister communication and also to the secretary department of post regarding this aspect but unfortunately they ware helpless to control the concerned officers while preparations of cabinet note on GDS pay committee report.
How ever I have to point out here that the following issues are to be settled and we have to March ahed.
1 In case of TRCA on historical pro-rata comparison maintained by all earlier GDS committee should be implemented.
2 EX-GRATIA gratuity the maximum of 60,000 shall be suitably revised to a maximum of 16 & 1/2 months TRCA plus D.A. tp GDS employees on the date of their retirement.
3 The date of effect of revised allowances should be with effect from 1-09-2008 as per C. G. EMPLYOEES
4 Tighetening of time factor should be like at least 5000/- = 1 point
5 bonus sealing should be Rs. 3500/- as per other postal employees and discrimination should be avoided
6 Pension or social security scheme left over in GDS committee order should be implemented. And other left over issues
Postal JCA of FNPO -NFPE-AIPEDEU -NUGDS WIL MEET ON 28TH October to decide further final action.
In my view we have to discuss on all aspects on this GDS pay orders issued on 9.10.2009 and for suitable modification the staff oriented action plan be finalized
Being the president FNPO one time I was of the openion to sought court stay on this orders of GDS pay committee but as GDS staff are eagerly waiting for orders and 40% payment of arrears amount I have decided not to bring a stay on this orders but I will not spare the postal directorate to play with lives of three lakhas GDS staff and will fight to achieve the goal of pension, bonus and other issues.
I am of the firm openion that JCA is fully competent to solve this issue.
