Walmart’s Global Track Record and the Implications for FDI in Multi-Brand Retail in India –
A seminar was organised on the subject by the UNI from 20th March to 22nd March 2012.
Thousands of activists from all over India demonstrated against FDI in Multi-Brand retail in India at JantarMantar on 20th March 2012. The following addressed the gathering

In the afternoon the above dignitaries addressed the meeting at the Constitution Club (Delhi)
D Theagarajan, UNI ILC welcome the participants, Mohan Guruswamy, Centre for Policy Alternatives presented the papers against the FDI in Multi-Brand retail in India. The meeting was convened by Dharmendra .

A book on KR written by V.V. Ratneswara Rao (Ex GS NUGDS), published by FNPO and UNI(APRO) was released on 20th March 2012 evening at a function held in our Federation office.
The first copy of the book was released by Bro. Christopher NG (Regional Secretary Asia Pacific UNI), the copy was received by Sis. Christy Hoffman (Deputy General Secretary UNI).
