Mumbai : Shri Kapil Sibal,
Hon’ble Minister of Communication & IT and Law & Justice, Government of
India has dedicated Data Centre to the Nation in a grand function held at
Hermitage Hall, Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, New Mumbai on 24th January,
2014. The programme was attended by several VIPs like Shri Ganesh Naik, Hon’ble
Minister for Non-conventional Energy and State Excise, Government of
Maharashtra and Dr. Sanjeev Naik, Hon’ble Member of Parliament.

Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle welcomed all the dignatories and guests.
Mrs. P. Gopinath, Secretary, Department of Posts explained the benefits of Data
Centre and stressed the importance of Data Centre for India Post. Shri Kapil
Sibal, Hon’ble Minister of Communication & IT and Law & Justice
dedicated Data Centre to the Nation by unveiling the plague and cutting the
ribbon.

(Technology), Shri Alok Saxena, DDG (PMU), Shri Deepak Khanna from Reliance
Communications and Shri Punit Garg, CEO, Reliance Communications also attended
the function.

Rahate was also invited in the programme. He participated there as the
representative of Postal Employees Union.
Hon’ble Minister Shri Kapil
Sibal in his speech told that we will discuss the issue of formation of Post
Bank with RBI so that every depositor will get ATM facility.
