SUCCESSFUL DEMONSTRATION IN FRONT OF DAK-BHAWAN ON 03-07-2009

Dear Collegue,
In response to the call given by JCA, a demonstration was held in front of the Postal Directorate, Dak Bhawan, New Delhi-110001 on 3rd July 2009, the Friday. Around 1500 members from Delhi Circle and nearby Circles like Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab gathered and showed the strength of solidarity. It is pertinent to record here that a  large number among the participants were from FNPO.

Shri. T.N.Rahate president FNPO & General Secretary NUPE P-IV, Shri D.Kishan Rao, G.S, NUPE, P-III, Shri.Abdul Siddique, G.S, R-IV, Shri.O.P.Khanna, GS (Admn) represented JCA and addressed the participants. Secretary General of both FNPO and NFPE could not participate in the demonstration due to preoccupation. At the end of the demnostration leaders of the JCA met Director (SR) and presented a memorandum containing a charter of demand addressed to the Secretary (Posts). Copies of the charter of demand were also handed over to Shri. A.Raja, Honourable minister of communication and IT, Shri.Sachin Pilot, Shri.Gurudas Kamath both Hon'ble Ministers of State for Communications and IT.
Using this occasion, Shri. T.N.Rahate, General Secretary and Shri.Siddique GS, R-IV called on officers of relevant  branches in the Directorate and discussed the following matters with positive response :
(1) Scrapping of additional duties assigned to Postmen/Mailpeon.
(2) Timely supply of uniform and change of colour of uniform to Khaki.
(3) Supply of Chapplas, Umbrella etc.
(4) Early fianalisation GDS Committee report and its implementation.
I, as President FNPO and GS, NUPE P-IV sincerely thank Shri. Ashok Sharma, President NUPE, P-IV, Delhi Circle, Shri.Subash Choudary, Circle Secretary NUPE P-IV/ Delhi Circle, Shri Jagdish Sharma, Shri. V.K Mathur and other Collegues for the successful conduct of the demonstration. I also thank Shri Devender Circle Secretary NUPE, R-III, Shri Narender Kumar NUPE, R-IV of Delhi Circle for their co-operation and co-ordination. I request one and all to  keep up the spirit and solidarity in future also to acheive our goal.
