A Special Postal cover on
International Labour Day was released by the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra,
Shri Jayant Kumar Banthia in Mumbai today. The Postal Department also
honoured Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Gramin Dak Sevaks on the occasion of
International Labour Day. Maharashtra Circle has a network of 12,600
Post Offices with the staff of 48,639 to run the Postal Services in the
Circle. The special cover released today was dedicated to the 4,497 MTS
and 20,000 odd Gramin Dak Sevaks who work day in and day out for the
department in all nooks and corners of the State. The Chief Post Master
General of Maharashtra Circle, Col K.C. Mishra, VSM and Post Master General
Mail Management, Shri H. C. Agrawal were also present on the occasion.
